Construction of New Service (Infill)

When applying for a new gas service, full payment or financing is required prior to construction. View rates here.

The Rocky Gas Co-op now has financing for new construction (infills). For more information call the office at (403) 845-2766.

The contract price includes construction of main service line, up to and including the main meter set. This equipment is installed, maintained and operated by Rocky Gas Co-op.

These costs are not included in the contract price and are the customer's responsibility:

  • in-house piping
  • yard system construction
  • conversions
  • material to connect to meter (ie flex hose for mobile home)
  • all applicable permits
  • Before Rocky Gas Co-op begins construction it is the customers responsibility to have all underground facilities located in their yard (ie: sewer, power, water, communications). Alberta One Call does not locate private underground facilities. Customers need to call a third party locator (ie: Excalibur, TNT, Hawkeye Line Locators, etc.) to locate underground facilities in yard.

Line Relocation

When relocation of the main line is requested by the customer, the line will be moved by the Co-op at the Customer's expense.

How do I get a quote?

Contact our office with as much of the following information as possible:

  • Your Rocky Gas account number
  • Your legal land location or rural address
  • Information about other underground lines on the property
  • Distance from existing gas meter to proposed secondary riser location
  • BTU load of each appliance on the property (in existing service and secondary)
