Gas Fitter/Gas Utility Operator

Now hiring
  • Full-time permanent
  • $35–$45/hour
  • 40 hours/week + on-call
  • Rocky Mountain House, AB

Rocky Gas Co-op is hiring a full-time Gas Fitter/Gas Utility Operator to help operate and maintain our natural gas distribution system. The role includes gas measurement and regulation, system maintenance, inspections, construction, meter work, leak detection and rotational on-call duties.

A Journeyman Gasfitter ticket and valid Class 5 driver’s licence are required; gas distribution experience and a Gas Utility Operator ticket are assets. Candidates who do not meet every listed qualification may still be considered.

Rocky Gas Co-op members: are you interested in being involved and helping with the future growth of your company? Serving as a director is a volunteer role, with remuneration for time served in an official capacity. Each June at the Annual General Meeting, members elect directors to fill any open seats for a three-year term.

What we’re looking for

  • A member in good standing of the Rocky Gas Co-op.
  • A good working knowledge of email and internet browsers is a definite asset.
